2.  Goals and Objectives:

      Second of three semester in a calculus sequence for science and engineering majors.
      Techniques and applications of integration, elementary differential equations, sequence, series,
      power series, and Taylor's Theorem.

    Calculus II for Engeers and Scientists
    by Franke, Griggs, Norris: accessible via WebAssign under RESOURCES; $45

    Students are expected to read sections of the text at the same
    time they are covered in class.
 

6. Tentative schedule of homework due dates, quizzes and tests

    Homework is assigned almost every day.

    WebAssign assignments must be completed.

    Four exams plus the final, the dates specified in the schedule.

7. Determination of grades: + and - system will be used.

    The four exams and the final will be equally weighted, and will count 95% toward the final grade.
    WebAssign will count 5%.
    The final average will determine middle C.
    A and B ranges will be on an approximate 10 point basis, with + - set at the extremes of the cut-offs.
    For students missing 5 or less days of class, including recitation days, their final average will be the larger
    of the averaged 5 exams and the final exam.
